1 CAN APPLE SLICES PACKED IN WATER (NOT APPLE PIE FILLING)
1 TSP LEMON JUICE
2/3 CUP SUGAR
1/3 CUP FLOUR
1 TSP CINNAMON
4 OR 5 PATS OF OLEO

GLAZE:
1 TBSP OLEO
1 TSP VANILLA
1 TBSP HEAVY CREAM
1/3 TO 1/2 CUP POWDERED SUGAR
8 PECAN HALVES

POUR APPLES AND JUICE INTO UNBAKED PIE CRUST. SPRINKLE WITH LEMON JUICE. COMBINE SUGAR, FLOUR AND CINNAMON. SPRINKLE OVER APPLES. PLACE OLEO PATS OVER APPLES. TOP WITH SECOND PIE CRUST. BAKE AT 350º UNTIL PIE IS GOLDEN.

FOR GLAZE: ABOUT 5 OR 10 MINUTES BEFORE PIE IS DONE, MELT OLEO, TAKE OFF HEAT AND WHISK IN VANILLA AND CREAM. SIFT IN POWDERED SUGAR UNTIL LIKE CREAM GRAVY. SLATHER PIE WITH THE GLAZE AS SOON AS IT COMES OUT OF THE OVEN. MARK OFF 8 SERVINGS WITH THE PECAN HALVES.
