2 eggwhites
1 c. flour
1/3 c.. margarine or butter
1/3 c. sugar
2 egg yokes
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2/3c. powdered sugar
1 c. finely chopped almonds
1/3 c.red raspberry preserves

Directions:
Directions:
in a medium mixing bowl bring two egg whites to room temp and set aside

For crust in another mixing bowl beat butter with electric mixer until softened. Add half of the flour,sugar, and egg yokes.. Beat until combined,stir in remaining flour.
Press crust into 9x9x2 pan and bake at 350ºfor 15 min.
Meanwhile make meringue topping.Add cream of tartar to egg whites.Beat until peaks form. Set aside.
Spread preserves over top of baked crust. Carefully spread meringue over top.
Bake at 350º 20 min.
Cool and cut into squares.
