1 pkg. yeast
2 T. very warm water
5 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 T. baking powder
2 T. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk
Melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Int a large bowl, sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening; add buttermilk and yeast. Stir until moistened. Turn dough out onto a floured cloth and knead 1 to 2 minutes. (No rising is needed) Roll dough out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a 2 inch cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet; brush with melted butter. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Serve while hot.
