1 loaf of Texas Toast white bread (1in thick sliced bread will work)
1 dozen eggs
1 pint of half-n-half
1 lbs pkg of spicy ground sausage
2 cups of fine shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare evening before serving for breakfast.

Mix eggs and half-n-half in a large bowl.
Add 2 cups of fine shredded cheddar cheese to egg mixture.
Grease bottom of 13x9 cooking dish or pan.
Arrange Texas Toast bread in a 13x9 cooking dish
Brown sausage and spread evenly over Texas Toast bread.
Poor egg mixture evenly over Texas Toast bread and sausage.
Let it sit overnight or at least 1 hour before baking.

Bake at 375º for about 40minutes or until center of toast is firm.

This is a great breakfast dish to prepare ahead of time and all you have to do is put the baking dish into the oven while the coffee is brewing.

You can make a healthier version of this recipe by substituting:
multi-grain bread
3 whole eggs and 1 pint of egg whites
low fat sausauge or turkey sauage
shredded low-fat cheese
