2 T flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 - 2 lb. round or chuck steak
2 medium onions, sliced
2 T. butter or other shortening
1 can tomato soup
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, salt and pepper. Pound seasoned flour into steak, using wooden mallet or edge of heavy saucer. Brown steak and onion slices in butter. Then add tomato soup, water and vinegar; cover and simmer 40-50 minutes or until tender.

Kim called me asking for mother's Swiss Steak recipe. This is the only Swiss Steak recipe that I could find in the recipe box. It sounds right, so I am hoping that this is it!
