1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 large mashed bananas (make sure ripe)
walnuts or pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Cream butter & sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Blend in dry ingredients and mashed bananas, nuts if you are adding them into the recipe.

Pour into greased 8x4x2 1/2 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 50 to 60 minutes. Keep checking with toothpick until the toothpick is dry.
