7 cups sliced apples (1/4” thick slices)
¾ cup sugar
2 T flour (actually 1 ¾ T)
¼ t cinnamon
1/8 t nut meg
3T soft margarine- broken into small pieces (for on top of apples)
1 t lemon juice
Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Sprinkle lemon juice on apples and then toss apples in the mix.
Arrange apples in crust and dot with butter.
Top with crust
Bake at 425º for 25 minutes and 10 to 45 min on 350º until juices bubbling in slits and apples are tender when tested with knife.
