1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
1/8 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together except vanilla and nuts. Cook slowly to soft ball stage or to 230 on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and cool until like syrup. Add vanilla. Beat until thick enough to spread. Sprinkle with nuts.
