1 (20 oz) can of crushed pineapple with syrup
16 cups (about 6 lbs) peeled, cored and choppe pears
8-10 cups sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients. (start out with 8 cups of sugar and adjust to taste). Cook until pears are tender and mixture thickens and becomes a golden honey color, approximately 2 hours. Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal. Boil sealed jars in hot water for 10 minutes to properly seal.
