1/3 c margarine
1/2 c light corn syrup
3/4 c peanut butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 c powdered sugar
3/4 c nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Blend margarine, corn syrup, peanut butter, salt and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Stir in sifted sugar gradually. Turn onto a board and knead until well blended and smooth. Add nuts gradually pressing and kneading into candy. Press out with hands on rolling pin into a square 1/2 inch thick. Cut into pieces.

This is a very sweet fudge. While we stayed on the farm, Eloise made it every Sunday after a pancake brunch. No lunch on Sunday, dinner at about 3:00 and popcorn and ice cream for an evening snack. This was har dfor me to imagine - there were three diabetics living in the house! How much we have learned since then!
