1 cup organic rolled oats,
2 cups water,
1/2 tsp. sea salt.

Bring water to boil in large sauce pan with tight lid. Add salt and stir in oatmeal. Turn heat 'low'. Cook covered for 10 minutes. Stir once, turn heat 'off' leaving pan on burner with lid 'on' for at least 10 more minutes. Also try placing ingredients in crock pot and cooking overnight on 'low'. Serve with dried prunes, raisins, chopped apple, nuts, maple syrup, brown sugar or agave syrup. Use whole milk or G.G.' favorite, 1/2 & 1/2.

Recipe is based on a method created by Aunt Bessie, G.G.'s sister. Take your time to cook oatmeal. It is a wonderful cooked cereal. Make and extra serving to use in Cooked Cereal Muffins.
