1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
1 small onion (chopped)
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground turkey
1 jar "heart healthy" spaghetti sauce (your choice)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 box whole wheat spaghetti

Directions:
Directions:
in a large skillet saute garlic and onion in the olive oil until onions are soft...set aside...
cook the ground beef and turkey in the skillet until brown and cooked through...
drain the beef/turkey and add the onions, garlic, spaghetti sauce, and Italian seasoning to the meat mixture...
cover and let simmer on low heat while cooking the spaghetti...stir occasionally...
cook the box of spaghetti according to the directions...drain the spaghetti, mix with the sauce and enjoy...

the "heart healthy" spaghetti sauce and whole wheat spaghetti are typically much lower in sodium than the normal versions so this is a decent, tasty alternative for anyone needing to cut back on sodium intake...
