2 lbs stewing beef, cut into bite size pieces (cooked and cubed chicken or turkey can be substituted)
2 Tbsp flour
5 Tbsp oil
1 medium onion, diced
1/2 garlic clove, minced
4 beef bouillon cubes (substitute chicken for beef if using chicken or turkey)
6 c water
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/2 c potatoes, cut into 1/3 inch cubes
1 c diced carrots
1 c peas
Dough for double crust 9 inch pie
Note: 1 frozen bag of mixed vegetables can be substituted for fresh veggies

Dredge beef with the flour and brown in the oil in a large pot. Remove beef and set aside. Saute the onion and garlic in the same pan. Add bouillon cubes, water, salt, Worcestershire sauce and pepper to pot, along with meat. Cover and heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add potatoes and carrots. Simmer 20 more minutes. Add peas. Simmer 7 minutes or until all vegetables are tender.
Fill 8 5x1 1/4 inch round disposable foil pans with 3/4 cup of the mixture, using broth as well as solids. Cover with pie crust, crimping edges. Freeze. To serve bake on cookie sheet 40 minutes at 450º Makes 8 pies.
