1 tbsp butter
3 tbsp sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 large sliced cooking apples sliced thin, peeled and cored

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl beat together butter, sugar and egg. Stir flour, baking powder and salt, add alternately with milk to beaten mixture. Beat until smooth. In a small saucepan bring the maple syrup a boil, pour into a greased 8 in square pan.Place a single layer of apples over syrup. Pour batter evenly over the top of the apples. Bake at 400º for 25-30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream while warm!
