2c milk
1/4c yellow cornmeal
1/4c sugar
1/8tsp baking soda
1/2tsp salt
1/2tsp ground ginger
1/2tsp ground cinnamon
1/4c black molasses
1c cold milk

Directions:
Directions:
In a double boiler, heat 2c milk then stir cornmeal slowly into the hot milk, cook for 15min stirring constantly--should be thick.

Mix together sugar,baking soda,salt,ginger,and cinnamon. Stir into cornmeal; add molasses and cold milk mixing well.

Pour into 1qt casserole and bake at 275º for 2hrs. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
