1/2 t salt
1 # butter. room temp
3 # confections sugar
1 t vanilla extract
1 t ground nutmeg
1 t ground clove
1 t ground allspice

Brownson Family Tradition...If you can't buy the 'batter' you need to know how to make it! Here it is!

Beat egg whites and salt until foamy in large glass mixing bowl until stiff peaks form. (when you lift beaters away they should borm a sharp peak that holds it shape). In separate bowl whisk egg yolks. Beat butter and confectioners sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks and vanilla to the butter mixture. Mix. Add the nutmeg, cloves, allspice and egg whites. Beat until blended. Batter can be frozen or kept in refrigerator for several weeks.

TO MAKE TJ: Pour 1/2 shot spiced rum and 1/2 shot brandy into cup. Add tablespoon of batter and slowly add hot water mixture - stir to desired consistency. Sprinkle some nutmeg on top.
