6 medium-size potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 pound hot pork sausage, cooked and drained
8 oz. sour cream
2 tsp. dry onion soup mix
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 can sauerkraut, washed and drained
1 cup buttered bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 tsp. mustard

Directions:
Peel, wash, and slice potatoes. Boil in salted water until tender. Mix sour cream, dry onion soup mix, mushroom soup, lemon juice, and mustard. Heat sauerkraut in 2 tbsp. sausage drippings. alternate layers of potatoes, cream mixture, and sauerkraut. Put bread crumbs on top and bake in 350-degree oven until hot and bubbly, about 20-25 minutes.
