1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 - 160z can tomatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1 T Worcestershire
dash hot pepper sauce
1 T cold water
1/2 c chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped celery
3 T shortening
1 - 8oz tomato sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp corn starch (if needed)
12 oz shelled shrimp (thawed)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion, celery, and garlic in shortening until tender. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and pepper sauce. Simmer uncovered, 45 min. Mix cornstarch with cold water & stir into sauce (if needed to thicken). Cook/stir until mixture is thick and bubbly. Add shrimp and green pepper. COVER. Cook 5 minutes.
