1 1/2 cups chicken broth 1/2 cups onion chopped
2 cups broccoli - cut up 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme, crushed
1 bay leaf
Dash of garlic powder
2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoons salt
few dashes white pepper
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan combine chicken broth, chopped onion, broccoli, thyme and bay leaf. Bring mixture to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove bay leaf.

Place half the vegetable mixture into a blender container or food processor. Cover and blend for 30 to 60 seconds. Pour into bowl, repeat with the remaining broccoli; set all aside. In the same saucepan melt the butter. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add the milk all at once. Cook and stir till mixture is thickened and bubbly. Stir in the blended broccoli mixture. Cook and stir till heated through. Season to taste with additional salt & pepper.
