1/3 C. wild rice
4 slices bacon
1 small onion
1 can (3oz) B&B mushrooms

Directions:
Directions:
Pour Boiling water over wild rice to cover plus on inch and let cool. Drain

Repeat the above procedure and let rice stand overnight in the second water.

When ready to prepare: DO NOT DRAIN. Salt the water and boil for 20 minutes.

Cube bacon and chop the onion. Cook together until tender. Drain the bacon grease. Add the mushrooms (reserving the juice)

Drain the rice. Place in a buttered casserole and mix in the other ingredients. Pour the mushroom juice over the casserole.

Bake, at 350 for approximately 30 minutes. Do not overbake to dry it out. Bake 1/2 of time covered and 1/2 of the time uncovered.
