2-1/4 c. sugar
1-1/2 c. butter (3 sticks), softened
3 eggs
4 c. flour
1 T. cream of tartar
1/2 T. soda
1/2 scant t. salt
sugar and cinnamon for tops

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and butter. Mix in eggs. Add flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Roll into balls about the size of a golf ball. Place on baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Flatten with bottom of a glass and sprinkle sugar/cinnamon mixture on tops. Bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes or until done.
