1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
1 t. baking powder
1/2 T. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
2-1/2 c. flour
more white sugar for tops of cookies

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugars. Mix in peanut butter and eggs followed by the rest. Knead for 2 to 3 minutes to incorporate all flour.
Roll into balls the size of a golf ball. Place evenly on cookie sheet and press down with fork and sugar. Bake 350º for 8-10 minutes or until done.
