10 inch angel food cake
1/2 C. sugar
1/3 C. Flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 C. milk
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C. whipping cream
frozen raspberries or strawberries

Directions:
Directions:
Slice one 10 inch angel food cake in 3 layers (can slice in 2 or leave whole also). Make following custard filling: In saucepan, combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup all-purpose flour, and 1/2 tsp salt; slowly add 2 cups milk, mix well. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens and bubbles; cook 2 minutes more. Stir small amount of hot mixture into 3 slightly beaten egg yolks; return to hot mixture. stirring constantly, bring just to boil. Remove from heat, stir in 1 tsp. vanilla, cool. Fold in 1 cup whipping cream, whipped ( I use Cool Whip). Reassemble cake, spreading filling between layers and on top. Garnish with frozen raspberries or strawberries, slightly thawed if you wish
