2 pkg. Yeast in 3/4 cup warm water (1 pkg. yeast = 2 1/4 t)
and 1 1/2 T sugar
Set aside.
Scald 1 1/2 cups milk with
3/4 cup shortening (Crisco)
Add 1/2 cup sugar and 1 1/2 t salt to milk after scalded.
Put in refrigerator or freezer for about 20 minutes.
Add 4 eggs
and add yeast mixture
Total flour 6 1/2 - 7 cups.

Dissolve yeast in warm water with sugar and set aside.

Scald milk with crisco. A couple minutes. (be careful after taking out of microwave if using glass pyrex. It bubbles like crazy.

Add sugar and salt to milk and cool (you don't want to cook the eggs)

Add eggs and yeast mixture

Beat in first 3 cups of flour. Stir in next 3 1/2 cups flour.

Refrigerate at least 3-4 hours or overnight.

Use rest of flour to roll out dough after dividing in 4 sections. Roll in circle and divide into 12 pie shaped wedges and roll into crescent rolls.

Raise and bake 375 for 10 minutes.

These are so good! I also add a squirt of honey to the warm water and yeast as well as the sugar.
