3 cups flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
1 t. nutmeg
1 cup currents
6 T milk

Directions:

Mix together, roll 1/2" thick and cut into rounds

Bake on griddle about 5 minutes each side.

This recipe came from Grandma Phillips, and has been used by our church family for decades.
I tap the top of each cake and when it sounds hollow I know it is done. Cool and enjoy
