Ingredients: 1 cube butter 1 sm sweet onion, finely chopped 1-3 cloves of garlic, crushed or finely minced 1 lb. lean ground beef, cooked and drained 1 can refried beans 1 brick Velveeta Cheese cut into 1 inch cubes 1 medium container sour cream (with chives) 1/2 pint heavy cream 1 lbs. shredded hot pepper jack cheese 1lb shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1 jar of salsa verde 2 cans Ortega roasted diced green chilies 1 can diced tomatoes (Del Monte: Basil, Garlic, & Orgeno) 1 bunch green onions chopped 2-4 tomatoes diced 2tbs lemon juice 2tbs lime juice 1 bottle chopped sweet cherry peppers 1 packet of ranch dressing
Optional: fresh cilantro & crisp crumbled bacon 1-10 fresh chilies (habanera, jalapeño) chopped (for heat)

Directions:-In fry pan, melt butter and sauté onions, add garlic. -Transfer to a large crock pot or double boiler. -Add Velveeta, salsa verde and heavy cream. -Melt on high heat if using crock pot, low heat in double boiler. -Fry hamburger and drain off all fat. -After the Velveeta has melted, add rest of ingredients -Continue to heat and stir until all melted together.
(You can save a little of the diced tomatoes, green onions and shredded cheese to serve as a garnish on the top of the mix when ready to serve) |
