1 gal fruit. 2 lemons. 1 box sure-jell. 5 lb sugar.

Figs: Wash and trim. Peel and slice. Throw out the core. In large pot, cover with sugar and let stand at least 8 hours. Bring to a rolling boil. Slice lemons (remove seeds) over fruit. Pour in sure-jell ant cook until syrup is thick, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, as this will scorch easily. Spoon fruit into prepared jars and seal. Pint or 1/2 pints jars do good.
