12 oz spaghetti or linguine
1 lb hamburger
1/2 cup onion, or 1/4 cup dried onion flakes
1 clove garlic, minced
2 cans tomato soup
1 small can mushrooms, optional
1 small jar green olives, drained except for approx 2 t olive juice
salt and pepper to taste
pinch of sugar
1 lb colby longhorn cheese, cut into chunks or cubed

Directions:
Directions:
Brown hamburger and onion; drain grease. Add garlic, soup, mushrooms, olives and olive juice, salt and pepper, and sugar. Simmer approx 20 minutes. While sauce is cooking, cook spaghetti/linguini per package instuctions. Drain. Mix spaghetti with sauce and cheese. Let set approx 5 minutes to allow cheese to melt.

My mom cut the original recipe out of the old Globe-Democrat newspaper, somewhere in the early 1970's, and modified it slightly. It's been a family staple since then.
