1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 T. prepared mustard
1 T. poppy seeds.
Mix the above items together; set aside.

1 loaf French Bread - slice into 16 pieces, 3/4 way thru loaf so that it stays together.
Position bread in aluminum foil.

8 slices Swiss cheese (cut on the diagonal)
4 strips bacon, crumbled

Preheat oven to 400º.
Spread butter mixture between bread slices;
place 1 diagonal slice of cheese on top
of mixture between bread pieces.
Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
Seal foil - maybe open last minute or two to
brown.
