1 3-1/2 to 4 pound boneless chuck roast, trimmed, 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1 beef boulion cube, 1 bay leaf, 3 or 4 peppercorns, 1 tsp dried rosemary, crushed, 1 tsp dried thyme, 1 tsp garlic powder, 12 French Rolls.

Place roast in a five quart slow cooker. Combine all other ingredients, except rolls. Pour over roast. Add water to almost cover roast. Cook on low for 7 hours. Remove roast and shred with a fork. Fill rolls with meat and serve with broth for dipping.
