2 tazas de mantequilla
1 taza de azúcar glasé (añadir más para rebozar)
2 cucharaditas de vainilla
4 1/2 tazas de harina (en España, añadir 1/8 o 1/4 más)
1/2 cucharadita de sal
1 1/2 taza de nueces picadas

Mezclar la mantequilla y el azúcar. Añadir la vainilla. Mezclar la harina y la sal y añadirlas a la mantequilla y el azúcar. Añadir las nueces. Puede que sea necesario amasar a mano. Si no se va a usar inmediatamente, envolver y congelar (hasta 3 semanas). Formar bolas de 2,5 cm.. Hornear en papel de horno sin engrasar a 175°. Durante 8-12 minutos o hasta que se dore ligeramente la parte de abajo. Rebozar inmediatamente en el azúcar glasé. Volver a rebozar una vez que se enfríen.
