Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 gallon mayhaw berries
1 gallon sugar
5 boxes Sure-Jell

Directions:
Directions:
Place one gallon mayhaw berries in large boiler with a gallon of water. Bring to a medium boil and continue boiling until berries are soft. Place a bowl under a colander and pour berries into colander, allowing juice to rest in bowl. Drain juice through a cheesecloth into another bowl. This removes all pulp from juice. Transfer juice to a boiler, add 1 gallon sugar; bring to a medium boil. Once boiling starts, add 5 boxes Sure-Jell; mixing well. If mixture starts producing a lot of foam, add a small amount of butter. Stir and continue cooking for about five minutes until it thickens. Have jars prepared and heated; proceed with canning. This will make approximately 12 pints.
