Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cup whole (raw) unbleached almonds
2 cup butter
1/2 t salt
2 cup sugar
1 t vanilla
2-4 cup finely chopped walnuts
12-24 oz milk chocolate pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Line a 16 1/2x10 1/2 baking sheet with foil. Arrange almonds in single layer. In large heavy saucepan put all ingredients except nuts and chocolate. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until all ingredients melted and blended. Increase heat to medium-high to bring to a low boil. Stir constantly for approx 7 minutes until mixture darkens, starts to pull away from sides of pan - almost to burn stage. Immediately pour over almonds. Let harden but does not have to cool completely. Melt chocolate chips in microwave one minute at a time until melted. Spread over toffee and cover with walnuts. Place waxed paper over toffee and invert onto a second baking sheet and repeat chocolate and nuts. (If you do not have a second baking sheet, cool completely before turning upside down on counter or work surface) Repeat chocolate and nuts on second side. Cool completely until set - several hours or overnight. Break into bite size pieces and enjoy. Store tightly covered container in refrigerator. May be frozen.
