3 T butter or margarine
3 T flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 c. cooked broccoli, chopped
1 1/2 c milk
3/4 c mayonnaise
1 3/4 cup macaroni
1/4 c grated American cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened, stirring occasionally. Fold in mayonnaise. Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until tender. Drain, rinse, drain again. Place layers of macaroni, broccoli, and sauce in greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish, ending with sauce. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in moderate, 350º oven about 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
