Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 t salt
1 t baking soda
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 12oz package semi-sweet chocolate pieces (2 cups)
1 cup chopped walnuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer for 30 seconds. Add sugars. Beat on medium speed until mixture is light and fluffy, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Beat in as much of the flour mixture as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining with a wooden spoon until combined. Stir in chocolate and nuts. Drop dough by rounded teaspoon or by using a level small cookie scoop 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets (or cover and store dough in the refrigerator until chilled. Shape into 10inch balls and place on cookie sheets). Bake at 375 for 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly brown. Cool on cookie sheets 1 minute. Transfer to wire racks. Makes about 60 cookies.
