Directions:
Kuchen:
In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Heat milk and butter together until warm to touch. Add milk mixture, sugar, egg and salt to yeast. Stir well to blend. Add flour gradually to make a soft dough which leaves sides of bowl. Turn onto floured bowl. Cover and let stand 10 minutes. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minuts. Place dough in large greased bowl turning to coat all sides. Cover with plastic wrap and then a towel. Let rise for 1 1/2-2 hours. Punch down and let rest for 15 minutes. On floured cloth roll dough out to a very thin rectangle. Spread filling (poppy seed, prune or almond), roll up like a jelly-roll and pinch edges. Cover and let rise for 45-60 minutes. Bake at 325 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Butter top immediately. (Per Dolly).

Prune Filling:
Cook prunes in water until tender; drain and chop. Place in a pand and add sugar, lemon juice and cloves. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes cool.
