1/2 C. shortening
1 C. sugar
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. sour milk or buttermilk
1 C. mashed ripe bananas
2 C. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs well. Stir in sour milk and bananas. Sift flour, soda and salt. Stir in dry ingredients, mixing until smooth and well blended. Pour into well greased medium size loaf pan. Let stand 20 minutes before baking @ 350º for about 1 hour.
