1 C. boiling water
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 C. shortening
1 C. sugar
2 C. buttermilk
2 C. All-Bran
1 C. 40% Bran Flakes
1 C. nuts
1/2 C. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Mix boiling water and soda. Let cool. Cream together shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in flour and salt. To the batter add all remaining ingredients alternating with the cooled soda water. DO NOT BAKE FOR 1 DAY OR MORE. Can be stored in covered container in refrigerator up to 10 days. Use as needed. Bake in greased muffin tin or with cupcake liners at 375º for 20 to 30 minutes.
