2 1/4 cups flour, 1 tsp soda, 1 tsp salt, 1 cup softened butter or margarine, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup white sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp water, 2 eggs, 12 oz package of Nestles SemiSweet Chocolate morsels, 1 cup chopped nuts.

Sift together flour, soda, salt and set aside. Cream butter, sugars, vanilla, and water until creamy. Add eggs. Add flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by well-rounded half-tsps onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

We always made them larger and ate a lot of the dough before cooking, so we never had 100 cookies. This is the definitive chocolate chip cookie.
