• 2 unbeaten egg whites
• 1 ½ C granulated sugar
• 2 tsp light corn syrup
• ½ C cold water
• dash of salt
• 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients except vanilla in top of double boiler (don’t place over boiling water). Beat ½ minute at low speed. Place over boiling water, but not touching water. Cook, beating constantly until frosting forms stiff peaks, about 7 minutes. Remove from boiling water. If desired, pour into mixing bowl and add vanilla. Beat until it’s spreading consistently about 2 minutes.

Cream Cheese Frosting

Prepare 7 minute frosting. Soften 1 3-oz package of cream cheese. Beat a small amount of frosting into softened cream cheese. Fold cream cheese mixture into frosting. Blend thoroughly.

Chocolate Frosting

Prepare 7 minute frosting and fold 2 1-oz squares unsweetened chocolate in until melted and cool.
