3 Cups sugar
1 Orange
1 Lemon
4 cups diced cantaloupe1/2 Cup maraschino cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Add sugar to diced cantaloupe, remove seeds from lemon and orange and slice as thin as possible. Combine with the cantaloupe and cherries, simmer gently stirring constantly until thick and smooth ...spoon into jars and keep refrigerated. Keeps up to 6 weeks in fridge.

This recipe came from my dear departed neighbor Marie, was a staple when she was a young woman trying to raise a family. Store bought jams and jellies were too expensive !
This is very good on English muffins or homemade biscuits.
