3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening (8 oz. or 1 stick)
1 egg
1 tbsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. vinegar
Cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and salt. Cut shortening into the flour using a pastry cutter, 2 knives or your fingers, until mixture resemble coarse meal.
Combine egg, sugar, vinegar and enough cold water to make 1/2 cup. Pour over flour mixture.
Using a fork, mix just enough to combine. Form into 2 balls, wrap each in plastic wrap and refrigerate until needed.
To roll chilled dough, sprinkle with minimum amount of flour on work surface and roll in a 13" circle.
Fold dough into quarters and transfer to pie pan placing the corner of fold in center of pan. Unfold. Press into bottom and sides of pan. Crimp edges with fingers and trim excess dough. Proceed to fill.

This would be a great crust for any fruit pie.
Also good for a banana cream or fresh strawberry - but you would have to bake it first.
