Ingredients:  
• 2 C flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 3/4 tsp salt
• 1 C plus 2 tbs sugar
• 1/3 C shortening
• 3/4 C milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 eggs

Frosting:

• 2 unbeaten egg white
• 1 C sugar
• dash of salt
• 1 1/3 C strawberries

Directions:
Directions:
For Cake- measure dry ingredients into sifter. Then add wet ingredients and beat all together. Bake in 2 separate round pans for 2 layers, 25 mins at 375 degrees.
For frosting: Combine eggs, sugar, salt and half the strawberries in top of double boiler. Coop about 5 mins. Remove from heat. Beat until cooled and then fold in remaining strawberries. Frost cake with mixture.
