3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
5 tsp sugar
2 tsp instant yeast
1 +- cups luke warm water

oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Sift the flour in a large bowl and add the yeast and salt, mix well. Add just enough lukewarm water to make a soft dough and knead for about 15-20 mins or until smooth and elastic and no longer sticks to your hands or machine. Put in bowl and coat the top with oil, cover with tea towel and leave to rest in warm place. After 10-15mins knock the dough back and break off pieces and roll into balls. Leave in warm place to rise once more. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Make split and fill with savory or sweet filling of your choice
