1 1/2 lb. glace cherries, halved
1 lb. dried fruit cake mixrture
1 lb. cut mixed peel
1/2 lb. slices citron peel
1/2 lb. glazed mixed pineapple
1 lb. seedless dark raisers
1 lb. currents
1/2 lb. slivered almonds
1/4 cup pecans

1 c butter
1 c brown sugar
2 t. vanilla
2 t grated lemon rind
6 eggs
3 c sifted flour
1 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
2 t cinnamon
1 t allspice
1/2 t mace
1/2 t ginger
2 t inst. coffee powder
1 1/2 t salt
1/2 c honey
2/3 c apricot jam
1/2 c brandy/rum

Directions:
Directions:
Combine fruit & nuts in lge bowl. Sprinkle with about 1/3 c. brandy/rum. Sit overnight.
Sprinkle 1 c. flour over fruit. Mix so fruit is well coated and separated.
Cream butter, gradually add sugar, cream together til light. Add vanilla & lemon rind. Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together remaining 2c. flour, baking powder, soda, spices, instant coffee & salt.
Combine honey, a little brandy, jam, and add to first mixture alternately with dry ingredients, beginning and ending with flour. Blend well. Add fruit & mix well.
Spread into pans lined with foul and cook at 275º to 300º
8" pan 4-4 1/2 hrs. Done when toothpick comes
6" pan 3-3 1/2 hrs. out clean.
4" pan 2-2 1/2 hrs.
