2 medium size yams peeled and cubed into bite size pieces
2 medium size sweet potatoes peeled and cubed into bite size pieces
3 medium size potatoes cubed into bite size pieces (I don’t peel)
1 can of crushed tomatoes (10 oz)
Saute:1 med onion, 2-3 stalks of celery, ½ bell pepper & 2 cloves of garlic

Saute:veggies
• When translucent put in potatoes and fill soup pot almost to top with water.
• Bring to boil, and then put on low
• Add tomatoes, salt & pepper to taste (can add crushed red pepper if you like spicy)
• Simmer until potatoes are done.

This is my New Year's Dish . I serve with cornbread and salad. It's always better the next day.
