Brine:
5 cups water
5 cups white vinegar
1/2 cup canning salt

Per Jar:
1 pearl onion
1 bay leaf
1/8 tsp alum OR 1 grape leaf
3 heads of fresh dill + 2 tbsp dill seed
boston pickling cucumbers 2-3" in size

Directions:
Directions:
Heat Brine ingredients to boiling. Add onion, bay leaf, alum, dill in sterilized quart jar. Fill the jar with cucumbers. Then add enough brine to 1/4 of the top of jar. Water process for 25 minutes for quarts (at Utah's elevation of 4500). Let the pickles "season" for 5 weeks before opening, then ENJOY!
