2 lb. round steak
1/3 c. flour
salt and pepper to taste
2 lg. onions, sliced
1 sm. can tomato paste
brown sugar to taste (opt.)
chili powder to taste (opt.)

Directions:
Directions:
Slash fat edge of steak every 3/4 inch to prevent curling. Combine flour, salt and pepper; pound into steak. Saute steak in hot fat until browned; place in baking dish. Saute onions until browned; place over steak. Thicken pan juices with additional flour; stir in tomato paste and small amount of water for gravy consistency. Stir in brown sugar, chili powder, salt and pepper; pour over steak. Bake. covered, at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until steak is tender.
