Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb. stew beef cut into bite size pieces
2 Tbsp. oil
1 apple, peeled and shredded
1 carrot, peeled and shredded
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1 1/2 cups water
3-4 tsp. beef base
3 tbsp. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef in oil. Season well with seasoned salt and pepper. Add apple, carrot, garlic, water and beef base. Simmer for 30-40 minutes. The apple and carrot will cook down and almost disappear. Dissolve the cornstarch in 1/3 cup of water. On medium heat, slowly stir into meat mixture until thickened. Serve over wide egg noodles.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I buy beef base at Costco - it is true beef base. If you use beef buillion, do not season with salt - and only add to taste or it may get too salty.
