1 head iceberg lettuce
1 chopped green pepper
1 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped red onion
1 pkg. frozen peas
2 Tbsp sugar
1 1/2 c. mayo
4 oz. grated cheddar cheese
8 slices fried bacon, crumbled

Directions:

Mix the sugar and mayo together in a bowl and set aside.

Line a 9x13" dish with bite size pieces of lettuce. Follow with layers of each of the items in order stopping at the green peas. Then pour the sauce all over. Then top with cheese and bacon. Refrigerate overnight.

My mother makes this at most of our bigger family gatherings. The kids even love it now.
